This would be useful information for the AoC to reveal the additional burden (and cost) placed on the FE sector. Perhaps you could get your management to get the AoC to do a national survey?

Subject: November GCSE resits
Good morning all
I’m trying to gather some statistics on how many FE Colleges ran high-volume GCSE resits in Maths and English in November.
At our college we offered English and Maths to the following groups of students:
English – any student who did not achieve a C grade last year (irrespective of the awarding body)
Maths – any 16-18 student (we only entered them for Edexcel, irrespective of what they may have done before), 19+ by opt in.
I’d be grateful for any responses if at all possible by tomorrow as our Senior team are trying to collate information on this.
If you could also give me a rough idea of numbers that sat for each subject that would be fantastic!
Many thanks for your help as always.
