Dear All,

The pre-registration for the Australasian Crystallography School 2016 has been extended to Monday 23 November 2015Click here to register.

About the school

The Australasian Crystallography School 2016 will give PhD students and early postdoctoral researchers a rare opportunity to develop their theoretical and practical skills in structure determination by X-ray crystallography at the Australian Synchrotron.

The full course will run in two streams – chemical crystallography and protein crystallography – combining lectures by expert crystallographers with intensive hands-on computer-based practical sessions to provide a thorough introduction to the theory and practise of X-ray crystal structure determination. Selected participants will be notified in early December.

Attendance options

For those seeking a refresher on theoretical background to structure determination by X-ray crystallography, registration for the school’s lectures-only component closes on Friday 15 January 2016.

Single-day registrations for lectures only will open at a later stage.

SCANZ student members may apply online for consideration for Maslen scholarships as well as the Australasian Crystallography School 2016 at pre-registration. Australian Society of Biophysics students need to apply directly to ASB for a bursary. More details upon registration.
