Inquiries please email a resume to [log in to unmask] Thank you for your interest, Jonah Cheung Job Description: The New York Structural Biology Center (NYSBC) is a shared research organization, owned and operated by nine universities and medical schools in the New York area, and devoted to the structural analysis of biological processes through the use of NMR, X-ray crystallography, and electron microscopy. We are currently seeking a Protein Crystallographer to join our expanding team of scientists in the crystallography group involved in a range of projects of medical importance, funded by federal grants and contracts, and collaborations with academic and private partners. Only candidates that meet the following requirements will be considered: * A Ph.D. in biology, biochemistry, or biophysics with extensive and proven experience with X-ray crystallography from gene to structure * Extensive experience expressing and purifying protein from insect cell/baculovirus systems using modern chromatography techniques * Experience with supporting biochemical and biophysical techniques (e.g. analytical ultracentrifugation, isothermal titration calorimetry, surface plasmon resonance, chromatographic techniques, etc) * Excellent communication skills with ability to manage independent research projects at the same time in a group environment * Ability to work independently and effectively within timelines The successful candidate will be performing work related to production, crystallization, and structure determination of antibody-antigen complexes as well as protein kinases.
