Activation and Impact. The Societal Role of Records and Recordkeepers. 

FARMER conference, Apex Hotel, Dundee, Scotland, 5-6 April 2016. 

Registration is now open for the Forum for Archive and Records Management Research and Education (FARMER) conference 2016. The conference will address Ann Gilliland’s question ‘What do records do in people’s lives that nothing else does?’. A range of international speakers will discuss this in a number of contexts including social justice, integrated data, disclosure risk and FOI, litigation and reconciliation, participatory archives, and managing email and information in a Web 2.0 world. There will be plenty of opportunities for debate and to exchange views. 

The conference will be held in the Apex Hotel, Dundee, Scotland over two days from 5-6 April, 2016. Further details, the programme and information about registration is available at http://www.dundee.ac.uk/cais/conference/ A conference dinner will be held on the night of 5th April.
