Post-doctoral Fellowship On Grandparenting and Successful Ageing Department of Political and Social Sciences Pompeu Fabra University The Department of Political and Social Sciences of the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona seeks to fill a post-doctoral position linked to a research project titled “Grandparenting and successful ageing (GRANSAGE)” and financed by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO - CSO2015-62707-ERC). Working under the direction of Dr. Bruno Arpino, the post-doctoral fellow will undertake research on grandparenting, health and social engagement among older people using data from the Survey of Health, Aging and Retirement in Europe (SHARE). We are looking for a social scientist with strong quantitative skills. The successful candidate should have substantial experience analyzing longitudinal micro-data. Preference will be given to a candidate with experience in the areas of grandparenting and/or successful ageing and/or with experience working with SHARE. Candidates must hold a PhD. The position will have a duration of 10 months (with a potential extension), with a monthly gross salary in the range of 1650-2500 Euros per month depending on experience.
