Regarded as the principal annual event for statisticians in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry in Europe, the 2016 PSI conference is taking place at The Pullman Hotel, Berlin, between 22 to 25th May 2016. It will be the 39th consecutive annual event.

Sessions will include an update on estimands, subgroups, dose exposure modelling, decision criteria, use of biomarkers in translational activities, personalised medicine and many more with speakers from industry, academia and regulatory agencies.

You can be involved in the conference; we’re accepting abstracts for contributed presentations and posters. Note the following deadlines:

Oral Abstract: 30th November 2015

Poster Abstract: 29th February 2016

We welcome abstracts on any subject but would be particularly interested in the following:

  • Bayesian topics within early or late phase
  • Challenges in small patient populations (including rare diseases and paediatrics)
  • Examples of clinical trial data transparency
  • The use of decision criteria in early phase development
  • Case studies involving dose exposure / dose response modelling
  • Topics relating to medical device trials
  • Novel designs
  • Examples using Risk Based Monitoring methods
  • Case studies involving translational research (biomarkers, genomics etc)

If you are a career young statistician (approximately less than 5 years working in the pharmaceutical industry) then there will be a dedicated contributed session for you. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in presenting in a friendly environment and to network with peers at other companies.

In order to submit an abstract, please go to http://www.psiweb.org/ and download a form, which must be completed and sent to [log in to unmask]. Successful applicants will be notified within one week following the deadline.

You may leave the list at any time by sending the command
