Group Members,

In my current research I've come back to re-reading various texts  concerning schools.  P. D. Ouspensky's The Fourth Way came up in the list.  In the course of this reading I find myself compelled to address the goal of esoteric studies.  Is Ouspensky correct when he states:  "Esoteric ideas that are not taken practically become mere philosophy--simply intellectual gymnastics that can lead nowhere."  Any thoughts, observations, or criticisms.
