DATA AND SERVICES DEVELOPER, UK Data Archive
Location: Colchester
Salary: £31,342 - £37,394 per annum

The UK Data Archive is seeking to appoint a Data and Services Developer to be part of a small team of developers that is responsible for the design and implementation of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) components, plus the maintenance and migration to the SOA of legacy databases.

The successful candidate will be a graduate in a computing related discipline and must have experience (in a production environment) of web service development, using ASP.NET C#, working with SQL databases and scripting and Continuous Integration and Testing. Experience of developing NoSQL database components for storage and retrieval, working with Solr search technology, developing in a Linux environment and deploying and managing applications in the cloud is also desirable.

This post involves access to Government systems, information or data and will be subject to the staff vetting process. Further information can found in the Recruitment Pack.

This is a full time, fixed-term position until September 2017 to cover a secondment. The UK Data Archive is ISO 27001, certified for Information Security Management.
