Hi,

I’m using SPM to perform fMRI event-related analyses. My experiment consists of three runs (1 to 3) each containing 4 conditions (A to D). The number of events within conditions varies across runs. For example, condition A in run 1 has 10 events, A2 contains 15 events, whereas A3 has only 2. When I create my first-level contrasts, I choose to replicate those across runs. My questions is: is it problematic that the number of events in one run is very small compared to the rest? How does SPM deal with variability in number of events?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Best regards,

Nina
