We have funded PhD positions at UCLs Institute of Child Health  with the possibility to perform a project across a range of imaging and developmental cognitive projects including:

Calming the storm: Understanding and modulating brain connectivity in epilepsy to reduce epileptic discharges and their impact on cognitive brain networks (Dr David Carmichael)

Ultra high resolution imaging in epilepsy (Dr David Carmichael)

Quantitative MRI of the post mortem fetal brain (Dr David Carmichael)

Long-term outcome after hemispherectomy in childhood: cognitive and neuroimaging predictors (Dr Frederique Liegeois)

Habit learning versus cognitive learning after frontal or temporal lobe epilepsy surgery in childhood (Professor Faraneh Vargha-Khadem)

Towards optimal methods for functional network analysis in paediatric epilepsy (Dr Jonathan Clayden).
