Dear Colleagues I am delighted to share the notice of the next Educational Developers Caucus conference with you - taking place in Windsor Ontario next February - as one of the key notes is an ex SEDA activist (if that is right word) and friend to many of us - David Green formerly at UCE (BCU) until he left the UK for the US. Mary Wilson may be less well known to you all but I can confirm is an excellent speaker and highly respected educational developer All the best Celia Celia Popovic ? To respond privately, change the "TO" address to the intended recipient's personal address. ************************************************* Dear Colleagues. We are pleased to announce that David A. Green and Mary Wilson will be the keynote speakers for the 2016 Educational Developers Caucus (EDC) Conference! Co-hosted by the University of Windsor and St. Clair College, the annual conference will take place in Windsor, ON, Canada, February 16-18, 2016. David A. Green, Director of the Center for Faculty Development at Seattle University, will open the conference, Wednesday, February 17, exploring the tensions educational developers face while leading ?from the middle?. Participants will also think about how these tensions may help educational developers take on the mantle of transformational leadership, and whether this middle ground affords them both license and cover to make post-secondary institutions more creative and enjoyable places for everyone to learn. Mary Wilson, Director of the Centre for Academic Excellence at Niagara College, will facilitate the closing plenary, Thursday, February 18, exploring the many borderlands within which educational developers find themselves. Participants will also reflect on the EDC sessions they have attended, explore the nature of the borders they encounter in their work, and consider the borders that they work to maintain, push out, break down, and establish.
