Dear all,

The Chemistry World science communication competition 2015-16<http://www.rsc.org/chemistryworld/2015/09/chemistry-world-science-communication-competition-2015-2016> is now open! Anyone passionate about science and new to writing and communications is invited to submit an 800 word article and a two minute video on this year's topic public attitudes to chemistry<http://www.rsc.org/campaigning-outreach/campaigning/public-attitudes-chemistry/>.

Five finalists will present their work at the Royal Institution's Faraday theatre during our live final on 3 March 2016. The winner will receive £500, be published in Chemistry World and will have the opportunity take part in a special assignment with Chemistry World. The four remaining finalists will each receive £250.

The competition closes on 8 January 2016. Find out more at rsc.li/cwcompetition

Feel free to share this with anyone you think might be interested - the competition is open to anyone of any age from anywhere in the world as long as they don't have professional (paid) science writing/communication experience.

All the best,

Ben Valsler
