*SO Talented* is Science Oxford’s programme of activities for scientists
interested in science performance. SO Talented provides them with
performance opportunities, training and support.

SO Talented is also about the network of scientists themselves – it is
about bringing together a group of creative individuals to share ideas and
opportunities, to find friendship and give encouragement. SO Talented is
inclusive. It reaches out to people across all the STEM subjects, at both
universities and across the region.

The *SO Talented sci-comm social* is an opportunity to bring this group of
people together on a regular base to give them a chance to network and
bring them up to date on new activities they might like to get involved
with. It’s also a chance to invite new people along to hear about what
Science Oxford does and how they can get involved in SO Talented.

*Opportunities*

Through the SO Talented membership newsletter, social media and website
pages (to follow soon), we highlight upcoming opportunities for scientists
to have a go at creating and delivering science-based performance. These
include:

*Famelab – which we deliver*

*Science cabaret – which we deliver*

*Bright Club*

*Science Show-off*

*Pint of science*

*Science festival ‘open mikes’*

We will also promote opportunities for training and bursaries to attend
events or develop a show.
