There's an interview with Milton Mermikides (the composer who had leukaemia) and his sister Alex M.. (a theatre maker, and donor for this transplant) on BBC Radio 4 that's available to listen to free on Soundcloud. The interview includes other people too and Libby Purves is the host.

Bloodlines

John Thaw Studio Theatre - Martin Harris Centre, Manchester

Follow the story of a young man diagnosed with a deadly leukaemia, who undergoes a stem cell transplant in a bid for survival. After the performance, there’ll be a talk on pioneering new treatments for cancer and the chance to discuss related issues with the show’s creators, including a leukaemia survivor and his stem cell donor.

Featuring a soundtrack composed by blood cells and captivating visual effects, this dance-lecture hybrid offers a visceral insight into the miraculous and macabre treatment of leukaemia, which has historically led the way for cancer research.

Book tickets here http://www.manchestersciencefestival.com/whatson/bloodlines or direct from the Martin Harris Centre.
