Thanks for all the answers, both to [log in to unmask]  and to here. We seem to be quite a varied bunch what is great. 

Thanks to Rowena too for the kind invitation for us to join the Oxford SciComm Social (which I have heard about) and the So talented networking event (which I have no idea what it is).  And there seems to be also a ScienceGrrl Oxford Chapter ("a broad-based, grassroots organisation celebrating and supporting women in science") that I never heard about before but that seems very interesting. 

My suggestion, though,  is that we start by organising a meeting for the freelancers, this will give us an entire evening  to know each other,  talk about potential projects and interests,  but, most importantly, it will allow us to find a date and time that suits most of us. 

Since I am putting an email on the ABSW mailist tonight and some people here only receive a psi-com digest every few days, probably the best approach  is to wait until the weekend and then send an email to all the freelancers that got in touch to try to arrange a meeting  that suit most of us. And if you know other freelancers in the area, just  (gently…) drag them in ;) 

I look forward to meet you all
