Post-doctoral Opportunity
in Ultracold Ion Reaction Dynamics at UCLA

A position is available for a post-doc leading new direction in ultracold ion reactions.  This project is a recently funded BRI collaboration involving the Hudson and Campbell groups in Physics at UCLA and the Suits group in Chemistry at the University of Missouri. The work involves investigation of the reaction dynamics and product branching for sympathetically cooled atomic ions with small molecules produced in a cryogenic beam. The work will be conducted at UCLA.

The position requires a Ph.D. in chemistry or physics or a related discipline and a background in some combination of the following areas: chemical reaction dynamics; cold atom physics and chemistry; molecular beam methods; electronic spectroscopy ; mass spectrometry, ion chemistry.

Potential candidates should send a CV and arrange for two letters of recommendation to be sent to Arthur Suits ([log in to unmask]), Eric Hudson ([log in to unmask]), or Wes Campbell ([log in to unmask]).
