Seminar Series
Wednesday 14th October 4pm
Room: Clephan 1.19
Dr Max Hanska

From reporting protests through social media to the European twitter-sphere.
Eyewitness media has grown in importance for news organisations: the first time it was employed systematically was in reporting protests throughout the Arab world. How was it used and why was this a turning point? In this seminar Dr Hanska presents past work on the use of social media in protests, and current work on social media and the European Public Sphere.

Best wishes

Stuart
