To coincide with the start of Open Access Week, UKeiG is pleased to announce
the publication of a new comprehensive White Paper entitled Open Science,
Open Data, Open Access . 

 

Written by David Ball of David Ball Consulting, an expert in the Open Access
field, it takes as its starting point recent developments in the transition
to Open Science.  This discussion is followed by a wide-ranging review of
the major growth areas of Open Data, Open Access and Open Monographs and
textbooks.

 

This comprehensive review will be of interest to all involved or interested
in the latest developments in the openness of research in science, social
science, the arts and humanities.

The Author

David Ball, formerly University Librarian at Bournemouth, works as an
independent consultant, specialising in aspects of higher education,
particularly scholarly communication and Open Access, e-books and
e-journals, procurement, library and related systems, virtual learning
environments.
