This year we will be running another Disability stream at the British Sociological Association conference, in the Frontiers section. The keynote speaker will be Mark Sherry from Toledo University, whose work many people on this list will
know. Details of how to submit abstracts, which are due soon are below. Although the conference can be expensive, streams are now being organised so that all presentations run on the same day, so this can cut costs considerably.

The theme of the BSA Annual Conference 2016 will be ‘Global Societies: Fragmenting and Connecting'’.
The aims of this conference are: to showcase the latest sociological research; to attract a concentration of international specialists
in our major research fields; to provide a forum in which to discuss the teaching of sociology and the professional practice of being a sociologist; and to facilitate debate, networking and professional development opportunities.
With this in mind, the BSA is inviting submissions for the 2016 Conference on any sociological research topic, with individual members
and BSA study groups all encouraged to contribute posters/papers and other activities. Suggestions for grouped sessions are also welcomed, while there will also be an opportunity for study groups to meet independently over the three days.
