The (DCMI) LRMI Task Group has been working on a set of draft controlled vocabularies containing top-level concepts for some schema.org (LRMI) properties. We are seeking input on the drafts from individuals, metadata communities, and organizations before the drafts are finalized.

The comment period for the drafts will remain open through October 31st.

The draft vocabularies are also available as Simple Knowledge Organization System (SKOS) files serialized in Turtle on the DCMI github at https://github.com/dcmi/LRMI_Vocabs. The SKOS serializations also credit sources of concepts used that were originally defined elsewhere.

The vocabularies for review and comment are:
--Alignment Type
  (https://github.com/dcmi/LRMI_Vocabs/blob/master/alignmentType.ttl)
--Educational Audience Role
  (https://github.com/dcmi/LRMI_Vocabs/blob/master/educationalAudienceRole.ttl)
--Educational Use
  (https://github.com/dcmi/LRMI_Vocabs/blob/master/educationalUse.ttl)
--Interactivity Type
  (https://github.com/dcmi/LRMI_Vocabs/blob/master/interactivityType.ttl)
--Learning Resource Type
  (https://github.com/dcmi/LRMI_Vocabs/blob/master/learningResourceType.ttl)

A Google Doc for gathering public comments is available at the following URL:

http://bit.ly/LRMI-Vocabs1

The Google Doc briefly explains the rationale for the vocabularies as well as the concepts defined and their definitions.

Please join us in the development of these draft top-level vocabularies by adding your comments before October 31st.
