The iRedTouch app allows the infrared control of devices from an Apple iOS device.

A significant feature of the iRedTouch app is that it has inbuilt support for IRTrans devices used for Environmental Control ( http://www.irtrans.de/en/environmentalcontrol/ ).

Robert Fischer, the developer of iRedTouch, is looking for users to test the new Beta version of iRedTouch which has been re-coded to support switch-scanning on Apple iOS devices (iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch).

To verify accessibility a switch adapter such as the Tapio Switch Interface at:

or the Pererro+ switch input adapter at:

is also required.

Please note that the Beta version of iRedTouch has been primarily written for the iPhone or iPod Touch – and that on an iPad the display is simply scaled up to fill the larger screen – therefore parts of the display on the iPad may appear a little blocky.  To cure this issue there will be "iRedTouch HD" for the iPad, however Robert has not yet added accessibility features to iRedTouch HD - which is to come next - after operation of the accessibility features has been verified.

I am assured that accessibility works identically on the iPad – which Robert says he has checked.
