Thanks for your input to this one - it is much appreciated.
So far have been able to confirm that if a SmartNav AT is to be used with Mac OS X then it needs to be purchased from www.rjcooper.com/smartnav/index.html (i.e. not from http://www.naturalpoint.com/smartnav/products/4-at/ ) - as only RJCooper has the software required to use a SmartNav with Mac OS X.
Please let me know what suggestions your Mac colleagues come up with ...
