Dear colleagues,

The International Records Management Trust has revised and updated its guidance on records management in the Open Government Guide<http://www.opengovguide.com/topics/records-management/>, a resource for people working to make their governments more transparent, responsive, accountable and effective. The guidance includes ‘illustrative commitments’, actions that governments can take as part of their Open Government Partnership national action plans. The illustrative commitments span initial, intermediate, advanced, and innovative actions. The guidance also includes links to expert organisations, standards and examples of the guidance in practice. It is hoped that those of you who are working with governments to get records management into OGP action plans will find the guidance useful.

Yours faithfully,

James Lowry
