The M&S Company Archive in Leeds is recruiting for the role of Archivist on a two year fixed term contract.
M&S is a brand like no other, with a heritage spanning over 130 years. That’s why we invest in preserving and celebrating our history at the purpose-built Michael Marks building at the University of Leeds, which opened to the public in 2012. The building houses the archive repository, reading room and the Marks in Time Exhibition, which showcases highlights from the archive collection to enable visitors to learn about and engage with the very best of M&S – past, present and future.
We are recruiting an Archivist to join an established and passionate team. The role will involve maintaining, preserving, promoting and utilising Marks & Spencer’s archival heritage to support business priorities and our commitment to public engagement. We’re looking for someone with relevant archive or museum experience, preferably in a business environment, and the ability to deliver excellent services both to the business and to the public.
