Applications are sought for a Medical Statistician to assist the Biostatistics Lecturer in the development of the core statistical consultancy service and providing statistical support to BCI staff and students. The post will also provide statistical support for ongoing trials co-ordinated by the CECM; and to assist the Biostatistics Lecturer in the development and running of external and internal short courses in statistics. The post will be based in the Centre for Experimental Cancer Medicine, Barts Cancer Institute, within the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary, University of London.

Essential requirements for this post include a post-graduate degree (M.Sc. or above) in Medical Statistics or closely related subject. Statistical work/research experience in cancer clinical trials and experience of using statistical analysis package STATA is also essential. A demonstrated ability to communicate well and work within a team are also essential. Some knowledge of the design and analysis of early phase clinical trials, as well as knowledge of using Microsoft Office Access would be an advantage.

The post is a full time appointment with a starting salary will be within the Grade 4 Research Scale, in the range of £31,735 - £37,275 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
