A job opportunity as Lecturer in Medical Statistics is available at the National Heart & Lung Institute, Imperial College London - deadline: 23 November 2015.



You will be working in the Respiratory Epidemiology, Occupational Medicine & Public Health research group based at the Royal Brompton Campus. The primary focus of the group is research into understanding the environmental, occupational and genetic determinants of respiratory health. The purpose of the lecturer post is to strengthen the methodological and applied statistical work within the group, and support and deliver statistics teaching throughout the department.



You will have a PhD in medical statistics or a related field, and a minimum of four years of post-doctoral experience in the field of epidemiology. You will have strong technical skills and a proven ability to research and apply innovative statistical methods to the analysis of epidemiological studies. You will also have an ability to publish in high quality peer-reviewed journals, experience in teaching statistics to non-statisticians, and excellent teamwork and communication skills.



This is a full-time post for a fixed term of three years in the first instance.

Salary: £45,950 - £51,200 per annum (depending on level of seniority).
