Research Associate (Grade 6) / Senior Research Associate (Grade 7), Lancaster Centre for Forecasting, Lancaster University Management School Job Ref: A1385 Closing Date: 12th November 2015 Interview Date: 8th December 2015 Applications are invited for a two-year post-doctoral position to commence early in 2016. We seek applicants with the potential to develop academic and applied research of international standard. Research interests include time- series forecasting and time-series data mining preferably in the context of operational research or operations management. Candidates should have, or be close to completing, excellent Master’s and PhD degrees with initial publications in preparation for leading scholarly journals. Candidates should have excellent verbal/written communication skills, a strong quantitative background, and computer programming experience (e.g. R, Matlab). In addition to all aspects of academic research, candidates will support the Forecasting Centre by engaging in applied forecasting research projects with companies, liaising with external clients, providing support to executive education courses and supporting marketing and administration activity.
