Dear Allstat, Based from their Centre in Belgium, a renowned pharmaceutical organisation is looking for a talented bio - statistician to join their busy bio-statistics department on an initial 6 month contract basis. Your role within this company will involve the designing of clinical studies while still having the ability to apply parametric and nonparametric statistics and translate your findings to your client needs. You will be working closely with the Biostatistics team to produce all findings into statistical practise. You will need to display a nature of proactivity, enthusiasm and an independent outlook on tasks. The environment you will be working in is generally a very fun and varied one working with a medium sized team with well integrated programmers and other statisticians. To be successful in this role, you will need to meet a set of minimum requirements to be considered. Masters Degree in Statistics or PhD in Statistics or related field , proven experience as a statistician within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, an excellent grasp of SAS, strong report writing skills and the ability to explain key statistical concepts to non-statisticians.
