Research Associate – Administrative Data Research Centre for Scotland / School of Social & Political Sciences / University of Glasgow.
This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with strong quantitative research skills and an interest in social policy. The successful applicant will play a leading role in a project analysing administrative data to provide high- quality evidence on the impacts of welfare reform measures, notably the increasing use of benefit sanctions. They will join the ESRC-funded Administrative Data Research Centre for Scotland (ADRC-S), part of the UK- wide Administrative Data Research Network (ADRN).
The position offers the opportunity to undertake cutting-edge research on a topic of great public importance. Based in one of the UK’s leading social science departments, you will be part of a network of researchers at the forefront of research on administrative data with excellent opportunities to enhance your quantitative skills.

Postdoctoral Research Associate in Social Science Research / Administrative Data Research Centre for Scotland / School of Geosciences / University of Edinburgh.
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate working in the area of social science data analysis and statistics. The innovative nature of the Centre’s activities requires intellectually dexterous researchers with skills in the area of quantitative social science, statistics or data science. The post is based at 9 Edinburgh Bioquarter where the ADRC-S core research and support team are located.
The researcher will be expected to carry out: original research, specifically using the major Scottish administrative datasets including those from schools, colleges and universities, the health system, the criminal and justice system, social services, social welfare, housing system, transport system and civil registration system; support other researchers using the centre and to take part in the development innovative methodologies and approaches to social science research using administrative data.
