Mon 9th November 2015, 1.30pm (arrivals from 1pm) to 4.45pm
Woburn House Conference Centre, 20 Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9HQ

THE WORKSHOP

The workshop introduces delegates to how, why and when to use questionnaires for impact evaluation. This will include perspectives from experienced evaluators on the common pitfalls in questionnaire design that can reduce the quality of an impact evaluation, alongside practical guidelines for ensuring are good quality.

This practical workshop will address the following questions:

  1. What makes questionnaires valuable as a tool for impact evaluation? Why use questionnaires?
  2. When (or what situations) make using questionnaires for impact evaluation inappropriate?
  3. How can you spot poor quality questions and response options? (These can lead to inaccuracies in your data.)
  4. How to develop good quality questions and response options?
  5. How can you analyse data from open-ended questions in your questionnaire?
  6. How to decide whether to collect data using online or iPad-based questionnaires?
