Dear Colleagues,

I would like to highlight an excellent job opportunity for an aspiring senior grade biochemist, at Gateshead.

South of Tyne and Wear Pathology are advertising a fixed term (1 year) band 7 clinical scientist post on NHS jobs ref: 297-585-15.

This is an exciting post for someone wanting to further develop their career beyond HCPC registration in a large multi-site department serving Gateshead, Sunderland and South Tyneside.

We have a recently built, state of the art Laboratory on the Gateshead site.

Full training will be given in all aspects of the service by our experienced team of 2 Consultant Biochemists and 2 Principal Biochemists (also training an HSST).

There are ample opportunities for service development as the department is expanding its LCMSMS service.

Situated just south of Newcastle and just north of Durham, the area is an attractive place both culturally and with access to many areas of natural beauty.
