Career progression and staff transitions strategic enhancement programme

The Higher Education Academy (HEA) invites expressions of interest from Human Resource Departments within HEA-subscribing higher education providers from across the UK to participate in a career progression and staff transitions strategic enhancement programme which will start on 29 October 2015.

The aim of the programme is to support HR colleagues through a structured development programme to further enhance staff transitions in a strategic priority area. It will build on the HEA’s current work on teaching excellence, professionalism, reward and recognition and will focus on how the UK Professional Standards Framework can be used in career progression, pay and promotions (including professoriate selection), practice and policies.

Participating institutions will also take part in a pilot of remaining in good standing, where academic and learning support staff evidence their engagement in, and measure the impact of, their professional development against the UKPSF. This would include how it could be implemented and monitored within a higher education provider and the changes necessary to implement supporting policies and processes.

Participating institutions will receive HEA-facilitated support for those initiatives that they are taking forward during 2015–16 that align to the strategic enhancement programme.

How to apply

Applications are invited from all HEA subscribing higher education providers in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
