Hi, The Biochemical Society http://www.biochemistry.org/Home.aspx has a vacancy for a full time Communications Officer. This is a broad role working across many aspects of communications. In this exciting new position, you will be helping to raise the profiles of the Biochemical Society and its subsidiary publishing company Portland Press with a wide variety of stakeholders and partners. You will ideally have experience of working in a communications or journalism role, with either a background in a relevant scientific area or a keen interest in molecular bioscience. You will be expected to produce material for blogs, press releases, e-newsletters and contribute to social media for a variety of different audiences. You would also help source and write content for The Biochemist, the Society’s magazine, and its associated website. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, in addition to exceptional eye for detail.
