The Rise and Fall of the UK Film Council (Edinburgh University Press) with co-authors Gillian Doyle, Philip Schlesinger and Raymond Boyle chaired by Nick James editor of Sight & Sound. The book draws on interviews with leading film executives, politicians
and industry stakeholders – including ex-UKFC chairs Alan Parker, Stewart Till and Tim Bevan, and CEO John Woodward to examine the fate of the UKFC, which was abolished in 2010. They discuss film policy and lessons learned. The BFI Shop will be offering the
