The closing date for the Tony Kent Strix Award may have passed ... but there are still 10 days left to send in your nominations for the UKeiG Jason Farradane Award. The closing date is Friday 11th September. The Award is made to an individual or a group of people in recognition of outstanding work in the information profession - for raising the profile of the information profession within an organisation or field of endeavour in a way; for raising the awareness of the value of information in the workplace; for demonstrating excellence in education and teaching in information science; or for a major contribution to the theory and practice  of information science. If you are unsure whether you have a valid nomination the list of recent winners and their achievements, which can also be found from this page, should held to clarify the criteria. It is not too late to nominate an individual or a team who are doing something wonderful for the information profession - there are ten days until the closing date on Friday 11th September.
