Are you an experienced academic support librarian? Are you looking for temporary HE library jobs in the Manchester area?

A University in Manchester is seeking an experienced academic librarian to join them for a 2 month contract in the first instance.

In this role you will you will deliver innovative and inclusive information, digital and research skills support to students, staff and researchers across the University. You will work with colleagues to ensure that library collections meet the needs of library users and help academic staff manage their research data and make their publications available on Open Access. You will contribute to the planning and implementation of service developments in support of learning, teaching and research.

To be successful in this role you will be a qualified librarian with experience of the preparation and delivery of information and digital literacy skills teaching. You will also have experience of managing relationships with academic staff, students and colleagues across the organisation. You will have good knowledge of developments in learning technologies, Open Access and research data management.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced academic support librarian with excellent ICT and digital literacy skills to work in a friendly and vibrant environment.

This is a part-time role, working 18 hours per week. The assignment will be 2 months in the first instance with the possibility of extension through to 2016.

C.£17.00 per hour.
