ThInternational Federation for Theatre Research (IFTR) Performance and Consciousness Working Group will be meeting at the next IFTR Conference in Stockholm, Sweden, 13-17 June 2016.  

 

This WG welcomes contributions pertaining to any aspect of the relationship between performance and consciousness, particularly, but not necessarily, in relationship to the conference theme of Presenting the Theatrical Past Interplays of Artefacts, Discourses and Practices.  Papers drawing on themes from performance theory, cognitive science, phenomenology, actor training, psychology, and/or theatre history are especially encouraged.  The group’s working language is English.

 

Abstracts of no more than 300 words should be submitted through the conference website, www.iftr.org./conference  Deadline for receipt of abstracts is 15 January 2016. Notice on acceptance will be given by 28 February 2016.

 

IFTR offers a limited number of bursaries, to which you can apply also via the above website in due course—deadline for applications for bursaries is 1 December 2015. The application form will be available at www.iftr.org  by 30 September.
