Subject: University Lecturer position in Sedimentary Bedrock Geology at Lund University, Sweden.

Dear all,

We will employ a new permanent staff member and are searching for a highly skilled and motivated researcher and teacher with an established, strong research experience based on Earth's sedimentary rock record. We are not seeking any particular specialisation; instead, we encourage applications from all sub-disciplines in this field. We expect the successful candidate to build up a strong and highly competitive research team, thereby strengthening the scientific profile of the Department.

A senior lecturer at the Department of Geology should engage in teaching and supervision of students at all levels (BSc, MSc, PhD), and contribute to pedagogical and didactical development of the teaching staff. Teaching and tutoring in basic education is estimated to be around 25-30% of a full time position, but can initially be less and may change over time. Our ambition is to develop the teaching program; thus, we particularly invite expertise in the broad fields of sedimentary geology, basin analysis and sedimentary geochemistry. Additional information regarding current undergraduate and graduate courses can be found on the Department's website (http://www.geology.lu.se/).

Necessary instructions for applying to this position is found from the link: https://lu.mynetworkglobal.com/en/what:job/jobID:73190/where:4/

Deadline: 2015-11-13

Best regards,

Ulf Söderlund
