Dear colleagues,

We invite you to consider submitting an abstract to the session titled "Dynamics and evolution of the lithosphere from Archean to present” that will be held at the 32nd Nordic Geological Winter Meeting in Helsinki on January 13-15, 2016. The focus of the session is the evolution of the lithosphere of modern as well as ancient orogens using (1) numerical and analogue modelling, and/or (2) geological and geophysical laboratory- and field-based methods.

Trond Torsvik (Univ. Oslo) will deliver a keynote presentation about “Plate Tectonics: Past and Present”.

More information about this session and the meeting in general is available at the links below. Note that there are a number of other structural geology and tectonics sessions that may also be of interest.
