Dear Colleagues,

 

I am delighted to inform you that the Call for session proposals for the 3rd International ESS Conference: ‘Understanding key challenges for European societies in the 21st Century’ is now open.  

The conference will take place in Lausanne, Switzerland 13-15th July 2016 and will address the following topics:

 

·        Immigration

·        Work and family

·        Wellbeing

·        Health

·        Welfare provision

·        Political evaluations and engagement

·        Social attitudes, norms and values

·        Other societal challenges

The conference will be an important opportunity to showcase excellent substantive academic work using the ESS as well as to reflect on the implications of this work for addressing the challenges faced by European societies in the 21st Century.  

Please note that the conference is only for substantive papers (methodological papers will be excluded).  The deadline for Session proposals is 27th September 2015.
