Dear colleagues, Provided that the physical interaction between the substrate protein (-30kD) and enzyme protein (-80kD) is too weak to determine by a conventional set of techniques, would that be possible that the two proteins potentially form a complex during crystallization process? My inquiry is whether it’s worth performing crystallization trials of the two proteins together without pre-formed complex, e.g.. by Gel Filtration. Thanks a lot in advance for sharing your ideas and practical experiences in your successful manipulations. Have a nice weekend.
