Hi Arthur, Don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I when I was researching an exhibition for Newham I found a film clip on British Pathe of World War I invalided soldiers being received in Stratford. There's a Black soldier among them and one of the welcoming committee is Kamal Chunchie, who founded the Coloured Men's Institute in Canning Town. A further meeting is being arranged with officials. I am chasing up another couple of items I wrote captions for but annoying contractors have not delivered. The commitment remains though. IWM > >
