Dear colleagues, The Northeast Environmental Archaeology Network (NEEAN), a regional professional organization of environmental archaeologists and other scholars interested in the history of human-environmental interactions worldwide, is holding its 2015 Annual Meeting at Boston University on Saturday, October 3. While we are based in the Northeastern US, the organization is open to any interested individuals regardless of location of residence. The goals of the organization include networking between professionals and nascent professionals (graduate students, undergraduate students) and opportunities for sharing knowledge and laboratory protocols, equipment, and facilities among organizations throughout the region. Through meetings, hosted on a rotating basis by member institutions, we provide networking opportunities as well as laboratory tours and demonstrations. Meetings provide an opportunity for members to bring materials for hands-on identification, to share methodological developments, and to discuss interdisciplinary approaches to research questions with a diverse array of scholars. We invite all interested scholars and students to register for this free event. More information about NEEAN (including how to join our email list) and the program for this year's event are available at: http://sites.bu.edu/ealab/neean/ To register, please use this link: http://sites.bu.edu/ealab/neean/neean-2015-registration/ Best wishes, Mac Marston ––––––––––––––––––––––––––– John (Mac) Marston Assistant Professor Departments of Archaeology and Anthropology Peter Paul Career Development Professor Director, Environmental Archaeology Laboratory Boston University Room 345F 675 Commonwealth Ave. Boston, MA 02215 t: (617) 353-2357 f: (617) 353-6800 email: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> web: http://www.bu.edu/archaeology/marston/ lab: http://sites.bu.edu/ealab/
