This webinar is about the upcoming Futuelearn course Blended Learning Essentials: Getting started - A free course for the Vocational Education and Training sector to promote effective practice and pedagogy in blended learning.

3.1 New format for Computing for Teachers MOOC, University of Warwick
The University of Warwick is about to trial a new system, eLDa, which allows better access to its online CPD course for teachers up to GCSE-level. The course is free of charge. Registration, on a first-come, first-served basis, at http://eldamooc.org/. Enquiries to Danny: [log in to unmask]

4.1 Team-Based Learning Conference, University of Bradford, 21 October 2015
The second European Team Based Learning (TBL) Conference focuses on the impact TBL has on student experience and outcomes, and offers guidance on making the change in your own teaching and the chance to meet other TBL practitioners. Keynote speaker is Professor Shirley Alexander, Deputy Vice Chancellor of University of Technology, Sydney. 
 
4.2 SEDA accredited Jisc Institutional Change Leader award registration
Free 2-module CANLearn course designed to support staff and students working in partnership on technology-related curriculum innovation projects in UK higher education, further education and skills. The award, part of Jisc’s Change Agents’ Network, is supported by course mentors and hosted by Jisc’s CAN VLE using Moodle. Course leader: Dr Mark Kerrigan ([log in to unmask]).

4.3 Online Educa Berlin 2015 - ALT Member discount - 2-4 December 2015, Hotel InterContinental Berlin, Budapester Str. 2, 10787 Berlin, Germany
OEB will have 70+ sessions in various formats: hands-on workshops, interactive breakout sessions, discussions and debates, labs, demos and keynote interventions by amongst others author, blogger and co-editor of the blog Boing Boing, Cory Doctorow and Hillary Leevers, Head of Education and Learning at the Wellcome Trust. ALT Members are entitled to benefit from a reduced conference fee of €600 (instead of €790 ).

4.4 CiviCon London 2015 8th & 9th October 2015
The event provides sessions designed to meet the needs of absolute beginners, administrators, implementers, and developers, making it the perfect place to meet and network with other Civi users and providers, and help you and your organisation to find out about best practice, learn what is new, and what the future holds for CiviCRM.

4.5 Educational Technology and Related Education Conferences for June to December 2015

5. Calls for proposals

5.1 CfP EAI TOFIEE Journal - Special Issue on Immersive Environments: Challenges, Research and New Developments
The Immersive Learning Research Network (iLRN) is pleased to invite authors to submit their original work on effective immersive learning experiences to a Special Issue on "Immersive Environments: Challenges, Research and New Developments" of the Journal on Transactions on Future Intelligent Educational Environments.
Manuscript submission deadline: 1st November, 2015.

5.2 Social Media for Learning in HE Conference 18 December 2015
The call for papers is open for this one day conference at Sheffield Hallam University (#SocMedHE15). The conference aims to provide a forum for academics, students, academic developers and strategic managers to consider the opportunities, challenges and the disruptive influence of social media in learning and teaching. Deadline for submissions is 3 September.

5.3 Open Education Europa
Call for submissions for Issue 45 of eLearning Papers on the topic of Language Learning and Technology. Deadline for submissions is 11 October.

The call for papers for the OER16 conference, taking place in Edinburgh, April 2016, has now been published.
