Hello All,
In the recent mailbase discussion about tube types it was highlighted that Abbott only recommends the use of sodium fluoride/potassium oxalate for lactate determination, however Sarstedt do not
offer FLOX tubes: instead we are using sodium fluoride/K3EDTA tubes. We have contacted Sarstedt about this. They supply lots of Abbott users and were not aware of the problem. They are going to get back to us. In the meantime, has anyone out there done a work-up
of lactate measurement on the Abbott system using Sarstedt tubes that they would be willing to share?
