I recommend checking out these sites, for starters: https://ssd.eff.org/ https://www.accessnow.org/pages/tech I'm teaching a human rights course in the winter term and would love to learn about other resources like these sites, if others have recommendations. Thanks! Martin ___________________________________ Martin French ¡¬ Assistant Professor Department of Sociology and Anthropology 1455 de Maisonneuve Blvd. W. I'm doing some work with We Charge Genocide, a Chicago-based an abolitionist organization. A lot of activists are spooked about surveillance and related issues. The CPD's stingray is visible at a lot of demonstrations. See:http://inthesetimes.com/article/17476/a_slip_of_an_officers_tongue_suggests_police_are_monitoring_ferguson_protes and https://twitter.com/may20p/status/540705615329239040 Some activists have also been harassed or followed by officers. As result, we've been doing crypto parties and have some conversations about security culture. Anything that might assist in this work would be greatly appreciated.
