Plus High Cost Area Allowance (15% Basic Salary, £3,483 min) pa, pr

The Library and Information Service at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks an enthusiastic and suitably qualified person to assist in the delivery of a high quality service to all staff and students in the Trust and other local health care organisations. The Library is part of a busy Education Centre in a friendly, supportive environment.

The post-holder will assist the Library Services Manager with the development of a comprehensive, proactive library and information service to all healthcare staff and students of The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and those based in the local community. The post holder will deputise for the Library Manager when required and share responsibility for the day to day running of the Library.

You should be educated to degree level and hold a professional library qualification. You will need to possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. Good IT skills and an interest in electronic information searching are essential for this post.

Successful candidates would have the opportunity to be involved in local health libraries networks and would be supported in their career development.
