Apologies for cross-posting.

A vacancy has arisen for a 12 month repository support post, based at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.  Applications welcome from external and internal candidates.

The post would suit someone with knowledge of repositories and open access, and ideally experience of using the Pure Current Research Information System.   The post is to support work relating to the Funding Councils Open Access Policy for the next REF:  http://www.hefce.ac.uk/rsrch/oa/Policy/

Responsibilities include:

· Checking metadata records in the repository

· Assisting staff to add metadata for their publications to the repository

· Advising on copyright relating to open access publications and checking copyright of uploaded papers

· Updating metadata on existing records
