Whilst that would normally be the case, sadly in this instance it's a requirement of one of our funders that we have three quotes for everything, in functionality if not in the exact object being the same. "Not reasonably possible" will be open to interpretation, and will presumably depend on the value of the product being sought: if your first supplier comes back with a price of fifty quid, its not reasonable to spend three days on the internet trying to find comparators: if you are aiming to spend several thousand pounds, then it may be considered reasonable for you to spend a week or more researching the alternatives.
