Watts Gallery - Artists' Village is recruiting for the new post of Heritage Assistant. The role provides a unique opportunity to join the organisation in the lead up to the opening of Watts Studios this winter. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to gain experience within a lively and ambitious department. This position is ideal for a candidate wishing to enter into a career in museums and galleries.



The Heritage Assistant will be a key member of the Learning and Visitor Services team, involved in recruitment and training of volunteers, duty management and delivery of an exciting public programme. The role provides scope for involvement across a range of activities within the team, including assisting with school and group visits, family activities and evening events. The ideal candidate will adopt a positive and flexible attitude to work. The role offers the opportunity to engage across all departments to ensure excellence in visitor experience across the site.



This position is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and is specifically created to assist in the delivery of Watts Studios. This is a full time position with a fixed term contract for a minimum of 1.5 years, with the possibility for extension.
